Z Fencing to coach SSP's Fencing Academy Dear Z Members, We are pleased to share with you that Z Fencing has been appointed to direct the coaching and curriculum development for the new Fencing Academy of the Singapore Sports School (SSP). The pioneer intake will start in 2012.

Ralf Bissdorf, Z Fencing's high performance director, will lead a team of our coaches to build a strong foundation for the new SSP's Fencing Academy and to train its elite student athletes as their head coach. He will also continue with his current role at Z Fencing to direct our elite programme together with Maestro James Wong.

"This is an important milestone for Z Fencing and our Olympic dream, as it provides another pathway for our elite fencers to pursue their training and education in a world-class integrated environment," says TK Wong, our director and co-founder, "and we are humbled and honoured to play a part in our nation’s quest for Olympic glory."

Said Bissdorf, “It is definitely possible. I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t think it was.”

SSP will recruit about 12 fencers for its first cohort and has started interviewing candidates.
